The Elements of Garden Design: A Source Book of Decorative Ideas to Transform the Garden

The Elements of Garden Design: A Source Book of Decorative Ideas to Transform the Garden
The book looks in detail at how to decorate your garden, starting with materials for embellishing the garden floor, and how to use paint, mirrors, tiles and mosaics to transform the boundaries. Decorative structures such as arches and arbors, pergolas and gazebos are described, as are the vast array of containers, statues and sculptures, garden lighting and water features. Even living ornaments such as topiary and sculptural plants have their place. Nine step-by-step projects show how to use a range of materials for highly personal effects: for instance create a willow obelisk, a metal-trimmed planter or a distinctive steel water feature. With its stunning original photographs and helpful advice, this is a perfect sourcebook of inspirational ideas for turning your garden into a work of art, whether you are choosing a piece of sculpture or designing a stylish garden from scratch.
