Statue of Zeus at Olympia - The Statue of Zeus at Olympia carved by the famed Classical sculptor Phidias (5th century BC) circa 435 BC, in present day Greece, is traditionally one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In AD 394, after over 800 years at Olympia, it was taken to Constantinople (modern Istanbul), the capital of the Byzantine Empire.

Panaenus - Panaenus, brother of Pheidias, a Greek painter who worked in conjunction with Polygnotus and Micon at Athens. He also painted the marble sides of the throne of the statue of Zeus erected by his brother at Olympia.

Thrasymedes - Thrasymedes of Paros was an ancient Greek sculptor. Formerly he was regarded as a pupil of Pheidias, because he set up in the temple of Asclepius at Epidaurus a seated statue of that deity made of ivory and gold, which was evidently a copy of the Zeus of Pheidias.

The Three Graces - Antonio Canova’s statue The Three Graces is a Neo-Classical sculpture, in marble, of the mythological three charites – daughters of Zeus – who were said to represent joy, charm and beauty. The Graces presided over banquets and gatherings primarily to entertain and delight the guests of the Gods.
