Whale and Friends
Namu, My Best Friend (Full Frame, Clamshell) Robert Lansing and Lee Meriwether star in this warm and compelling family drama about a compassionate scientist who forms an unlikely friendship with a magnificent killer whale named Namu. When his mate is killed by whale-fearing fisherman, Namu mourns his loss in the cove of marine biologist Hank Donner (Lansing). Despite his size and reputation, Namu demonstrates that his grief is profound and his sorrow genuine. A sensitive sea creature, he finds a true friend in Donner, who gains his trust and seizes the opportunity to study the elusive and misunderstood mammal. But Donner's only human allies are a young widow (Meriwether) and her sympathetic daughter. And in a heart-pounding race against time, the three must rally to protect Namu from angry fishermen and prove that their friend, like all whales, is a remarkable, intelligent and gentle giant.
Wally Whale: And His Friends by Pam Adams, Wally Whale is a squeaky clean bath book. He squeaks and squirts each time he meets a friend.
Gervais' Beaked Whale - Gervais' Beaked Whale (Mesoplodon europaeus), sometimes known as the Antillian Beaked Whale, Gulf Steam Beaked Whale, or European Beaked Whale (hence the scientific name), is remarkable for not having been seen alive as of 2002. This is more amazing given that it is the most frequently stranding Mesoplodont whale off the coast of North America. Longman's Beaked Whale - Longman’s Beaked Whale (Indopacetus pacificus), also known as the Indo-Pacific Beaked Whale and the Tropical Bottlenose Whale, was considered to be the world’s rarest cetacean until recently, but the Spade Toothed Whale now holds that position. The species has had a long history riddled with misidentifications, which are now mostly resolved. Shepherd's Beaked Whale - Shepherd's Beaked Whale (Tasmacetus shepherdi) also commonly called the Tasman Beaked Whale or simply the Tasman Whale is a cetacean of the family Ziphidae. The whale has hardly been studied at all. Marvin White (Super Friends) - Marvin White was half of the pair of Marvin & Wendy, two teen-age sidekicks of the Super Friends who, along with Marvin's pet dog Wonderdog, first appeared in the 1973 Super Friends cartoon. Because of the success of the Super Friends cartoon, a Super Friends comic book was also created, in which Marvin and Wendy made their first comics appearance.
